It Starts with a Conversation
Sessions are generally 45 to 90 minutes in duration, depending on client need and symptom severity. This includes a thorough evaluation of symptoms and the development of a treatment plan over the first 1-3 sessions.
MMC utilizes empirically-supported methods like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Inference Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (ICBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Informed (DBT), Prolonged Exposure (PE), and Cognitive Processing (CPT) therapy to assist clients reduce their impairing symptoms and reach their goals.
Assessments are also often used as a tool to provide clarity and treatment focus.
Individual Therapy for Adults

Sessions are generally 40 to 60 minutes in duration, depending on client need and symptom severity. This includes a thorough evaluation of symptoms, and family dynamics assessment followed by collaboratively development of a treatment plan.
MMC utilizes a uniquely modern and comprehensive range of evidence-based treatment methods for the treatment of children and adolescents mental health needs. Many of the treatment methods used come from the evidence-based framework of cognitive behavior therapy (CBT).
Therapeutic services involving children and adolescents often incorporate a family component. We encourage the active participation of caregivers dependent on presenting concerns. Even when working individually, MMC pays close attention to family history, relationships, and individual experiences. MMC’s family involvement includes the exploration of patterns of support, communication, and implementation of boundaries in the home.
